It even saves space and gives to a different experience from the monotonous way of viewing the television by placing it on the table. With the newer technologies coming everyday, some are even around 2 to 3 inches thick.
A mount has to be nailed into the studs on the wall, as the LCD is a heavy piece of equipment. These mounts are no different from the regular mounts except for a mechanical arm, when the LCD is placed on the arm. It enables to change the angle of view. The only drawback of this design is that the LCD will project out from the wall more than before which will eat up some space.
